Forest Tales and Urban Trails

Set in King Henry’s Walk Garden, this promenade performance in September 2010 took audiences on an immersive journey through the wood at the end of the garden, to meet its somewhat grumpy and cramped inhabitants. Charged with the safe-keeping of a seed, the audience were guided and goaded along by a witch, a bee, a worm, a pixie and a nymph, led to the heart of the forest, where they met a story-telling wolf  with a chip on her shoulder.

The show was devised by a group of six artists: Charlie Bannocks, Molly Burn, Anna Clover, Poppy Flint, Eva Maler and Emma Turner over six site-specific workshops at the garden.

It was kindly funded by V-inspired.
